Chandra Resolves Cosmic X-ray Glow and Find Mysterious New Sources
Chandra deep field in Canes Venatici

The Chandra X-ray Observatory has resolved the sources contributing to the X-ray background. The results show that nearly a third of the sources are active galactic nuclei and another third is composed of "ultra-faint galaxies."
