Constellation-X

Constellation-X Instruments

Constellation-X will carry two types of telescopes: four Soft X-ray Telescopes (SXTs) and one or two Hard X-ray Telescopes (HXTs). Each SXT will focus light onto an X-ray Microcalorimeter Spectrometer (XMS). Some of the light entering the SXTs will be diverted by an X-ray Grating Spectrometer (XGS).

Use the links in the side menu to learn more about each of the telescopes and instruments that will be used on Constellation-X.
